Abstract

The PUDCAD project is the result of collaboration between 7 European universities and is addressed to students of Architecture, Interior Design and Product Design who attend university-level courses.

It is based on the introduction in the design practice of a CAD-based application that combines CAD modeling operations with the possibility of studying user interaction with the environment, programming the characteristics of spaces, furnishings, products and user himself.

It constitutes an instrument of innovation in teaching as it introduces the principles of Universal Design within the curriculum training path, using an intuitive and interactive learning environment, which will facilitate collaborative learning and creativity of students. The software will have an implementable library and will use innovative technologies such as augmented reality. It will be available online for free for educational use.
