Abstract

The research project was financed by the company DIESSE Diagnostica Senese S.p.a. The objective of the research was the definition of Human-Centred project guidelines and requirements for an innovative and design-oriented medical device aimed at:

i) increasing the levels of usability and safety of use by users, and the quality of the user experience (User Experience);

ii) aesthetic and functional innovation of the devices;

iii) component and topological optimization;

iv) optimization of the choice of materials and production technologies about the aspects of feasibility, sustainability and commissioning;

v) evaluation of production customization opportunities based on production/sales 4.0 technologies.


The result of the research was the development of an innovative medical device "VESMATIC 5and related GUI for ESR control. This research project was selected by ADI, the Italian Design Association for the ADI Index 2022.
