Abstract
The THE - Tuscany Health Ecosystem project is one of the 11 innovation ecosystems funded at national level within the PNRR, and the only one dedicated to the life sciences. The project involves 22 partners, organized into 10 Spokes, including universities, research centers and companies based in the Tuscany Region.
The working group is responsible for Subproject 3: Decision support systems and telemedicine in digital diagnosis and therapy for neurodegenerative diseases (Spoke 3 - Subproject 3). This subproject aims to develop a structured healthcare pathway for the objective assessment of diseases, integrating home monitoring services. The goal is to improve the continuity of care through patient empowerment and enhanced collaboration among healthcare professionals, both in hospital settings and local care services.
The objectives of Subproject 3 include the collection and systematisation of the needs and expectations of primary and secondary users (patients, formal and informal caregivers, healthcare operators, general practitioners) of telemedicine services, through Human-Centred Design methods; the definition of guidelines for the design of telemedicine services, interfaces and products; and the definition of experimental protocols and evaluation methods, based on the Human-Centred Design approach, to analyse the interaction between stakeholders and the interfaces/devices used for home hospitalization and telemedicine.
