OBJECTIVES OF THE RESEARCH PROGRAM

General Objective

The main objective of the project is to propose and develop new training and production models and processes through the placement of young talents, designers and artists, within companies in the Tuscan territory. The project allowed young talents to carry out internships of 6-12 months within partner companies, with the aim of creating innovative projects. The goal is to offer young designers the opportunity to insert themselves within the Tuscan production system to develop and implement an innovative design project, both in terms of materials and production processes. The project also included a series of conferences open to all, aimed at analyzing the relationship between art, design and business, through the collection and dissemination of specific experiences and case studies in the production sectors of which the partner companies are representatives. So, the case studies covered the sectors of ceramics, terracotta, technological innovation, marble, crystal, alabaster, and furniture. Through the communication and dissemination plan of the project results, the goal of disseminating the innovative ideas that the young designers designed within the companies and that can be engineered and commercialized was also pursued, including through the involvement of companies in the sector and the support of professional designers. In fact, at the end of the internships, each innovative project and idea was enhanced through the creation of the final catalog and through two exhibitions, held at the Pecci Center in Prato and the Campolmi Hall in Prato. The catalog was developed and finalized concurrently with the organization of the exhibition and was published in conjunction with the opening of the event. The catalog was digitally published in open access and sent to all companies and young talents involved in the project.
