PROJECT DESCRIPTION

General Objective

The THE - Tuscany Health Ecosystem project is one of 11 ecosystems of innovation funded at national level under the NRRP, the only one dedicated to life sciences. The THE project involves the participation of 22 partners - organized in 10 Spokes - including universities, research centers and companies present in the Tuscany Region. The working group is responsible for Subproject 3. Decision support systems and telemedicine in digital diagnosis and therapy for neurodegenerative diseases (Spoke 3 - Subproject 3).

Subproject 3 aims to develop a structured health care pathway for objective pathology assessment, incorporating home monitoring services. The goal is to improve continuity of care through patient empowerment and collaboration among various health care providers from both hospital centers and community-based services. The objectives of Subproject 3 are: the collection and systematization of the needs and expectations of primary and secondary users (patients, formal and informal caregivers, health care providers, general practitioners) of telemedicine services, through the survey methods of Human-Centred Design; the definition of Guidelines for the design of telemedicine services, interfaces and products; the definition of experimental protocols and evaluation methods proper to the Human-Centred Design approach to analyze the interaction between the stakeholders involved and interfaces/devices used for home care and telehealth services.
